The Grotesque Condition of the Nigerian Graduate

I am of all men, most bemused by the prevalent increase in the rate of unemployment in a country like Nigeria. Students are busy graduating in high numbers from the walls of a glorified prison called a "university", but still rely on their parents even after they have become "graduates". One faithful day, The Lord Jesus spoke to My hearing & said to Me,"Son, the devil does not fight a man from being educated, rather he fights the truth of it in a man". That He said, is the reason behind people going to "school" & yet having nothing to show for it. The Lord Jesus Christ further spoke to Me & said "Son, education whether physical or spiritual has come to do three basic things in a man's life. Firstly, to give him freedom, secondly to empower him & lastly to establish him. Whether you're yet to be or already a graduate, it will be in your best interest to ask yourself this pertinent question "Are these three things a truth in Me?" or are you still struggling to find a footing in life, even after you've become a graduate. You're busy going about with your file under the scorching heat of the sun rays looking for an job opportunity that has gone into oblivion of which you will still be rewarded with a monthly stipend which you call "salary" after usurping 360hours of your destiny as an "official slave" to a man like you. Although you're a graduate but you still go ahead to learn a trade or skill after you've finished school, which is still another form of education for a good number of years commensurate to the time you've spent going to school & then after that you start hustling to become someone thereafter. What a wasted investment! Why do we keep going round the circle over & over again? We live in a country, where one is termed an "illiterate" provided he/she didn't pass through the university. But this I say, is a wrong misconception & an irrational perspective of the original truth. A person who can read & write is literate, irrespective of his/her educational qualification. This is the reason. a medical graduate cannot learn a skill or a trade, because he/she sees it as demeaning to his/her "profession" & yet they barely have enough to eat. Some "lawyers" can't even afford a "three square meal", let alone taking care of a woman or even the responsibilities associated with child upbringing. They are busy suffering & smiling. They hold their titles & educational qualification in high regard & still prefer to live from "hand to mouth". What an aberration! The best thing that education can give you is to make you a literate; able to read & write. Anything other than that will surely be your own bargain.

What's your take on this?

A letter to The Remainder Fraction of My Life

Dear friend,

I consider Myself the luckiest man on earth, having such an amazing woman as you. Though I may not yet know all the difficulties that come with a lifetime commitment but I've enough relationship experience to know what I want & how I picture My life with you. Those around Me, are a continuous source of education & inspiration on how the Lord wants our relationship to be. So here & today I vow to love you not just as an essential part of Me but as My Father,The Lord Jesus Christ loved the Church unconditionally & gave Himself for her. My heart desire & utmost desire, is that you will know My Father personally & also develop a strong relationship with Him, because He remains the only captain that can help us ride through the storms of life & bring us to that land of destiny & fulfillment He has prepared for us. I pray that you will make Him the anchor of your life & get to know Him more, because true life & peace lies in Him. I promise to do all within My God-given ability to make you beam with that beautiful smile of yours, so count on My surprises, because your smile will be My priority. I promise to always look at you with the same adoration as I did the moment I realized I loved you. I promise to ignite the sparkle in your eyes & to hold your hands at when were 120 years young( not old) with the same liveliness, that I did when I crossed that line to hold yours for the first time & I'll always come to your emotional rescue. There is no person in this world that can ever take your place in My heart. I love you more than words can say. I know you love food as much as you love Me, so I'm already making provisions for that, so that I can feed you well, I'm sure you're smiling right now because of what I've just said. You're the most beautiful woman I've ever known & I cherish you more than life itself. Sometimes, I try to imagine who our First Son will look like; you or Me? and how cute he will be. I can't really imagine life without you in it. Though We have been through some issues, but all those are geared towards making us better; it did strengthen our relationship. I was surprised when I found out that you're using the same wrist-watch as mine,  though it looks like a coincidence, but I know deep within My heart, that it's not. I love you & I'm looking forward to sharing all of our tomorrow together.
                   Yours Always & Forever

The Battle for the Young(Episode 11)- Response Determines Future

In this battle for the young, the battle is between God & satan. But the battle is over your life. You are the one who determines who takes the victory as a young person. That is why the Bible says you have to overcome the wicked one. You are the primary character in this epic battle for the prime period of your youth.
You have the choice to say 'No' to the devil, to sin & to the things that satan displays around you, & to say a big 'Yes' to Jesus. That is what determines your future. Perhaps the battle has been so strong in your life that you decide to say 'yes' to Jesus one moment but in the next moment, you change your mind & you are as unpredictable as the wind. You need to determine that such instability must stop right away, before the enemy of your soul gets an upper hand over your life.
The unfortunate thing about the battle for the young is that the devil does not allow the youth to look ahead. He blinds your eyes as a young man to think that life ends at the time of youth. Therefore when you should have taken a decision with the future in mind, you are deceived into concentrating on the present. This is the critical moment for you as a young person. If you get it right at this time of your youth, then it will be well with you in the years ahead. You will have no cause to regret or bite your fingers. I wish you have elders around you who will sincerely volunteer to tell you the stories of the wrong choices they made many years ago & how they are still suffering the consequences of those choices. As I said earlier on, your life is a fresh ground ahead of you that is not yet spoilt but I must tell you this, it is being fiercely contested. Between Jesus & the devil, whom do you choose? Whom do you want to follow? The friends that you have toady will not always be with you all your years. You will suddenly  discover that the friend who leads you into trouble will desert you as soon as you sink into that trouble. He would have escaped & gone his own way. He may return to be part of the team that will ridicule you & tell the world about you, exposing your sad predicament. Even though the almighty God is beckoning to you, waiting with his mighty power to save, to forgive you & to reset your direction, He will not do anything until you say a definite 'Yes' to Him & a big 'No' to satan. This is how to lay the foundation of your life & win the battle now that you're young. Enough is enough, take a stand. Perhaps you've even started to make mistakes. There is something you need to know as a matter of great importance: . . . the mistakes that you've made do not constitute the real problem, the problem will be to continue in them. The years you've spent out of your life presently are very few compared with those that lie ahead of you. You still have years enough to build the right future.
Is it reasonable to go on & destroy five million because of the five hundred that have been spoilt. No! It does not make any sense to sit & weep over spilt milk or an egg that has been broken. Whatever has been done till now, I wish you would say as I said many years ago, "The time I have spent for the old man(the flesh) is enough. I will now live for Jesus forever". Decide now while you can, that it is enough! The number of years spent, dilly-dallying with the devil is enough. Do not worry about whether you'll have enough power to overcome. All you need to do is to make a choice for Jesus. Take a stand with the Overcomer, the mighty captain of our salvation, the Lord Jesus Christ, He could have decided to override your will, step in to intervene for you & stop the destroyer from gobbling up the best part of your life, but His just & loving nature will not allow Him to force you. Jesus Christ is not a thief who jumps in through the window; He would normally stand at the door & knock, waiting for you to make your choice & willingly open the door for Him to come in. He will not make you to do what you do not want to do. You need to make a choice; that is all he has been waiting for. The effectual working of the power of God to save & to keep you saved is available. I am a living  testimony. Jesus Christ died for you on the cross of Calvary to save you from your sins. It was not the punishment for your sins that he took. He defeated the devil on the cross for you so as to give you the victory if you decide for Him. He rose again from the dead to give you a completely new life, not an improvement of the old. He has promised:
A new heart also I will give unto you, & a new spirit will I put within you: & I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, & I will give you an heart of flesh.
And I will put my spirit within you, & will cause you to walk in my status, & ye shall keep my judgments, & do them.(Ezekiel 36:26-27(KJV)
And I wish to remind you that it is not angels He came to help but the weak men & women like you & me. If you were an angel who has never sinned, He would not need to help you & His death could have been needless.
But It is for such a sinner like you that He laid down his life & shed his precious blood. His hands are stretched out to you in mercy to forgive you & to cleanse you from every mess & everything that had stained your life.
For surely  it is not angels that He  helps, but he helps the offsprings of Abraham.(Hebrews 2:16(ESV)
Pray to the Lord now to forgive you. Call upon Him to save you. You need the Lord at this junction of your life. Open your heart & ask Him to come in. Then you will become a child of God; then you will have God on your side. Only then can you be sure of victory both now & tomorrow. So the challenge is yours today. The choice is yours also. What will you do with Jesus? What is your decision? Pray to God right away & commit your life & future to Him. Bow with me & pray right now. And if you've already made Him  the Lord over your life before today, including praise the Lord! But there is still something more for you to pray about.
It is time to add permanence to your 'NO' to satan & your 'YES' to Jesus, the lover of your soul. It is time to make your choice of Jesus an everlasting decision. Decide today that His choices will be your choice . . . His plans & programs for every stage of your life will be acceptable to you. Determine in your heart that His counsel at every bend, turn or junction in the journey of life will be sweet to your soul. Pray about this now. Ask Him to help you. Pray with me the wordings of this song . . .

Shepherd of my soul, I give You full control.
Wherever You may lead I will follow,
I have made the choice, to listen to Your voice,
Wherever You may lead, I will go.

Be it in quiet pasture, or by a gentle stream,
The Shepherd of my soul is by my side,
Should I face a mighty mountain,
or a valley dark & deep,
The Shepherd of my soul will be my guide. Song by Martin J. Nystrom

The Battle for the Young(Episode 10)- Young Men of Wrong Choices

After graduating from the university & I was serving my nation as a Nigerian Youth service corps member, I had a friend who came to the orientation camp as a Christian. He was even our "Christian corpers'  fellowship" zonal representative. When we got to our place of primary assignment, there was a choice we had to make. We met some people who said they were welcoming the new corps members with a party. I declared to them that I'm a Christian; I took my stand & told them that I have nothing to do in partnership with unbelievers. Of course, they mocked me & laughed me to scorn. However, my friend stood in-between. He said to me that we should not refuse them. He was careful not to clash with them. I remember that they took him to a beer parlor (a bar selling alcoholic drinks) together with other corps members they were welcoming. There he ordered for soft drinks but those young men said to him, "How could you, a man of your age be drinking what women drink?" Then, a young lady stood up among them & said, " Even me, I can finish at least a bottle of beer at once. How much more, a man like you?" My friend told me later that he became so ashamed that he told them to give him just a cup. It was painful to know that, the single cup of beer opened the door to so many other things that took my friend away from Christ. There was nothing we could do to bring him back; it was terrible. He became haggard in life for many years until he died. Sometimes before he died, I went to see him. He looked at me & said to me, "Brother Gbile, I envy you. " I asked why. Then he said, "We were together as Christians in the camp; and what you are today is what I could have become. But see where I am; I am finished. I am finished", he lamented. I wept, but I knew when he made that choice. He even tried to repent again but he had lost his ground.
There is a fresh ground before you right now as a young person, which is being contested. If you give the devil that ground, you may never get it again. Jesus Christ is standing at the door of your heart with all His power, ready to save & to rescue you. He knows that you are born for a glorious future purpose & that there is a future ahead of you. But the devil's contention is that you are not a robot. You must be given a chance to make  your choice. But ever before he allows you to make your choice, he will begin to flash the pleasure you can derive from all kinds of things before you, even though he will carefully veil from you the reality & the repercussions that will most certainly damage your destiny. he will flash money . . . Lots of money. he will flash women . . . Pretty, open breasted ladies. he will flash alcohol & other ecstatic substances . . . and even a chance of becoming famous; making it to the top in your career while you are yet a youth. All of these only so you will pursue shadows & not consider God's glorious plans for your life.
Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? or what shall we drink? or, wherewithal shall we be clothed?
For after all these things do the gentiles seek:) for your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God & His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:31-33(KJV)
Several of my colleagues chose wrongly. They have not died, but they are in real trouble. I had a room-mate when I was in my first year in the university. Four of us were accommodated in a room. We had two students squatting with us; so we were six. Early in the morning, when I knelt down by my bedside, to pray or read my bible, this my roommate would deliberately come & hit me on my buttocks with his knee. He would shout aggressively . . ."This is not church! This is not church. Do not show holier than thou attitude here."
He would hit me again & again. And to disturb my concentration he would go & put on 'disco' music on his stereo set, raise it to the highest volume & the whole room would be vibrating. or, wherewithal shall we be clothed?

When I finally stood up after my prayer time & asked him why he was doing that, he would shout at me & swear to get me out of the room. Many years later, I went with my wife to preach somewhere & suddenly . . . What a surprise! There, sitting in the congregation was that my old room-mate! He had seen the advert on television that one man of God, Gbile Akanni, was going to preach. He asked himself whether that could be his old room-mate. So out of curiosity, he came to the meeting. As I stood up to preach, my eyes met his. I was so startled that I almost called out to him from the pulpit because I had not seen him for many years. After the meeting, I rushed down the pulpit, my eyes were still on the spot where I had seen him. I did not want to miss him. The organizers were calling me to follow them out, but I told them that I saw one of my school mates in the meeting & I needed to see him. As I was walking through the audience, he was also walking towards me. When we met, I thought he was going to hug me jubilantly. Instead, he looked at me with one sorry face & said, "So this is what you were planning to become. I remember when I used to hit your buttocks." Then he asked me if he could have some time to talk with me the following day & I agreed. When we met, he took me to a restaurant. I introduced my wife to him & then he could not control his tears; he began to weep.
He said, "I wish I had listened to you when we were in the same room in the university. I thought I was wise; I thought I was enjoying life.  But as you see me today, I am finished.
Do you remember the girl I was running after at that time, who used to come to our room? She has left me. I now have two wives but I have no home anywhere. I cannot sleep here, I cannot sleep there." When he finished telling me the story, he asked with a broken voice . . . "What will you do now to help me?" I offered him Jesus Christ and salvation for his soul and he received Him. "But what will I do with my life andmy marriage? How do I handle the mess I have put myself in? And see, I cannot be young again".

That is true; you cannot be young again; you can only be young once in your lifetime", I had to painfully agree.

The Battle for The Young(Episode 9)-The Choice is Yours

But the good news is that as you read this, Jesus has come to meet you, NOW!!!
He has come at this time of your youth. The mighty warrior is standing against the wicked one over your life. Jesus Christ in all His zeal & power is ready to fight for you. He says to the devil even today, 'you wicked one, you cannot touch this one! This is a proper child. She is born for a vision & you cannot damage her. I have a glorious future for her. I intend to lift her very high & make her to sit with Me in the high places of the earth & later on with Me in Heaven.' However, while Jesus stands here & declares all these to satan so that he will not touch you, satan also has a valid response.
And here it is,   .  .  ."if she were a child, you can rightfully choose for her but see, she is no longer a toddler. She has come to the segment of choice. She must make her choice by herself. Let her tell us whom she will serve this day. You or me?" Imagine the Lord Jesus Christ standing with all His power & the devil standing on the other side & you are in between the two of them. The Lord Jesus is saying, "I am here to forgive you, to save you, keep you, sustain & direct you to make the right choices for your life. Make this one crucial & most important choice of your life for Me & you will be free forever form the damage of the enemy!" But the enemy is not silent, he is insisting that since you have come to the age of choice, you are the one to choose whom you will follow. Young man, Young woman, this is the true position of things with your soul. This is the fierce contest for your life. The ball is in your court. So whom do you choose? The choice is yours! The unfortunate thing is that so many young people quietly choose the enemy without really knowing. They do this by saying quietly in their heart, "let me just try all the options available to me first. I will go just for a while & then come back." If you do this, you will be giving satan a trial. . . a most desired opportunity to finish you & for you, it will be a dangerous & costly trial. The trouble is, even if you survive & make it back, it will not be without some form of damage. And the ground that the enemy gains today may never be recovered

Will you still go?
This is the age of choice.
And the choice is entirely yours!

The BattLe for the Young (Episode 8)-The life of Regrets

This is the age when you feel like buying anything you see & like. This is the age of curiosity and inquisitiveness, when you want to try out things & experience how they feel.
This is also the point of seeking personal expressions, you feel like doing it yourself & in any direction you want to.
I met a young man many years ago who was in a university far away from where I lived. He ran to my office when he came under the conviction of a wasted & thwarted life as he listened to one of the messages I had preached on their campus.
He said to me, 'Sir, when I was fifteen, I decided I was going to sleep with at least two hundred different women before I clock twenty-one years of age. And I have been pursing that ambition.' He was a very brilliant student of architecture but he dropped out because of that experiment he was making with his life. By the time I met him, he was only about twenty but his life had been ruined.
He said, "I have been trying to repent but I do not know how. I cannot just see girls & look away." He told me that, in the female hostel on campus, when ladies washed their under-wears & put them out to dry, something inside of him would tell him to go there and climb the wall and lick them. What a mess he got himself into! Why did satan try to destroy this young man? It was because he saw what a great man this young person could become; so he pressed in quickly to cut him short. God desires to help you & rescue your life now that you are young, because if you miss it now, the devil will make such a mess of you. You will be so damaged that even repentance may not be able to reverse it. At best it may just be to prepare you for heaven. The mistake that he will drive you into making, would be such that cannot be erased. And the truth is, your life cannot be re-lived. You must not loose this battle now. You must overcome the wicked one now that you're young. This is because even if you overcome later, the damage of the youth is often irreversible & old age will only bear the scars.
For example, suppose in her youth, a very pretty young Celica, gets pregnant for someone somewhere first, has a baby there & then has a baby for another man somewhere else later. She later gets converted, becomes a Christian & gets married properly to a husband. At old age, when she is settled, moving everywhere with her husband, there is no way to erase or reverse that aspect of her past. One of the young, men with whom she had a baby may suddenly turn up one day & say,
"Cecilia, we need to discuss".
Cecilia may likely say,
"No, no... you see, I am married now."
Then the man replies,
"Yes, I know that you are married but we have a matter together. Our son has a problem & we need to solve it together."
The real husband will be at a loss, leaving his wife talking to a former lover. But there is nothing he can do, there is actually a matter here. This woman is converted, she is now born again but when that man turns up & calls for her, he is actually calling forth the mistake of her youth. It is something that could haunt a soul throughout life. That is why It is very critical that you win your battle now in the days of your youth. If you do not win now & you even come to win it later, there will still be a problem. The mistakes & permanent damage of this present time of your youth may forever witch-hunt you.
The devil will normally keep any ground he gains in your life when you're young, against an opportune time in the future. Even if you escape, he will keep that ground & in years to come, he will pitch his tent on that little ground beside your destiny & you will not be able to deny his activity in that aspect of your life.

The Battle For The Young (Episode 7)-The Enemy's Target

Why is the wicked one focusing on this time of your youth? I will give you three reasons.
The first is that he had come to know that this is the time of foundation-laying. He also knows the scripture that says,"and if the foundation be destroyed, what can the righteous do?" he knows that even fasting & prayer cannot change significantly, a foundation that has been wrongly laid. For that reason, he decides to position himself at this crucial point, saying,"i must not allow this young man or this young lady to lay a correct foundation. Let us destroy it. And then, we shall see what he would become afterward. The rest of his life would be a mere patchwork, a matter of struggle for the rest of his years." The enemy wants to be part of your foundation-laying, to stick his fingers into what should be God's masterpiece. I pray that you will not allow him. And may God forbid that in your life!

The second reason is that he knows that there are certain things peculiar to you as a young person. This is the period of an unprecedented outbreak of all the virtues embedded in you. As wonderful as whatever it is you were as a baby, it was temporary. Permanence, even of your physical features only begins now that you are a youth. You are now coming to a stage, when whatever is formed within you is permanent; it is not likely to change again. And so, the enemy, knowing that this is the time that permanence of character and direction is established, desires to make a damage that will be permanent & irretrievable for your entire lifetime. When you see men that are disoriented in life, who have become addicted to wrong things, this is the segment when that permanence of addiction & disorientation started. So the enemy knows that the best time to capture a man is when he can gain permanence in his life. But if you escape his hands when you are young, you have escaped indeed.

The third reason is that the devil knows that everything that will become your future and destiny is rooted in your youth. So he looks for you at this time of your youth to affect your destiny. This is why there is a scramble for your life. This is why you are faced with all kinds of conflicts, temptations & troubles. Because you are strategic even to the devil; he desires to use you as an instrument to do his evil works but to dump you later in life to face a fate that is hopeless.
You are equally strategic & as well precious to God especially now that you are young. God Himself sees the time of the youth as the best time to affect a man or woman & gain the best part of his or her life. It is the best time to prepare him or her for a glorious future. Solomon was a young man that God had great affection for. He started out with the favour of God. He prayed at the onset of his enthronement & God blessed him with abundance of everything. But he began to make experiment with his life. All that his father David planted in his heart as a child were being tested & pulled apart as he felt he must explore life by himself. Listen to him describe one of his experiments with his life:
I said to myself, "let's go for it, experiment with pleasure, have a good time!" But there was nothing to it, nothing but smoke.
What do you think of the fun-filled life? Insane! Insane! My verdict on the pursuit of happiness? Who needs it?
With the help of a bottle of wine & all the wisdom I could muster, I tried my level best to penetrate the absurdity of life. I wanted to get a handle on anything useful, we mortals might do during the years we spend on this earth. Eccl 2:3(Message)

Everything I wanted I took, I never said no to Myself, I gave in to every impulse, held back nothing, I sucked the marrow of pleasure out of every task, my reward to myself for a hard day's work!
Then I took a good look at everything I'd done, looked at all the sweat & hard work. But when I looked, I saw nothing but smoke. Smoke & splitting into the wind. There was nothing to any of it. Nothing. Eccl 2:10-11(Message).

The Perfect Soul (Part 2)

Your values are in total alignment.
“I knew because our views in life, our morals and our lifestyle just fit perfectly, along with being head over heels in love with each other. I fell deeply in love and knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with my partner about two weeks into dating. We were spending so much time together and the feeling I was experiencing was just indescribable. Kind of like the saying, ‘When you know, you know.’ It felt like I was on some kind of substance that had me on cloud nine.

You’ve seen this person at their worst and love them anyway. Though a time came, when she pulled off, looking for validation elsewhere but that couldn't fill up the vacuum in her heart. She needed something much more than the cheap superlative comments of people to her on social media.
You feel a kind of electric sensation when you're around her
“When you meet your soulmate, you fall in love involuntarily, and it’s an incomparable, soul-awakening, knee-weakening, all-consuming adoration that will never be duplicated. You intuitively know that the person is a natural extension of you, without warning, without effort, without compromise. The attraction is wild. When you hold hands, there’s a palpable electric current, there’s a perfect fit. The amount of time you’ve been together doesn’t matter, the time you spent apart does.

Your relationship may be rocky at times but the rough patches help you grow.
“Soulmates hold up a mirror to us, revealing all that needs to be healed — and frankly, that’s painful. Most want to run, which is why soulmate relationships tend to be off and on. You break up, you make up, you break up. When you’re apart, it still feels like you’re together, because energetically, you are. That feeling of connection draws you back together to try again, until it gets painful again and the cycle repeats. Over and over in some cases ― mine included.”

You care so deeply about each other that, at times, you actually feel each other’s pain.
“I knew I found My soulmate when her pain became my pain.  Realizing that I cared about his family ― people I had never even met before ― as much as My Own family helped Me accept how strong My feelings for her were.”

You feel like you can let your guard down and be 100 percent yourself when you’re with this person.
“A soulmate is your best friend. Your teammate. The one person who you are comfortable showing the weird, awkward, twisted sides of yourself that you usually keep hidden around everyone else.”

The Perfect Soul

The concept of soulmates is a polarizing one. After all, in a world of 7 billion people, it’s hard to imagine we each have only one perfect match.

But many people who believe in soulmates don’t define them this way. Rather, they believe a soulmate is a person whom you connect with instantly and deeply, who sees and accepts you for who you are and at the same time, pushes you to grow into the best version of yourself.

A soulmate doesn’t even have to be a romantic connection, necessarily ― it could be a friend, family member or teacher. Nor does the relationship need to be easy-breezy all the time or free of conflict.

“A soulmate isn’t always wrapped in the perfect package, physically or in terms of life circumstances — nor does it mean that the relationship will come without challenges,” Kailen Rosenberg of the matchmaking firm The Love Architects. “Yet, the difference is that the life circumstances and the difficult challenges are a strengthening power that becomes the glue that keeps you together through the difficult times and helps each of you become your most authentic self.”

1. You recognize that this person came into your life to teach you an important lesson.
“Your soulmate is there to be your greatest teacher: the one who challenges you, drives you into positive living, stirs your deepest passions and ignites your deepest triggers. The soulmate is the one who challenges the truth of the lessons you have to learn regarding your own value, what you want and, most importantly, don’t want in life when it comes to love. Unfortunately, some people end their relationship with a soulmate too soon because of the struggles, the experience can bring. Others don’t leave the relationship soon enough, so they don’t end up learning the lesson that would have brought them closer to their true and desired life mate, which is what we all want and deserve.

2. You may be very different but you balance each other out.
“I knew My friend was my soulmate when I realized that ways, we were opposite balanced me and the ways we were alike bettered me. It’s an adrenaline-fueled, surreal feeling that’s also stunning in a how-are-you-so-perfect-for-me type of way

3. You get this palpable gut feeling that you’ve met your match.
“When I met my soulmate, I had no idea what a soulmate really was, other than what the happily-ever-after society teaches us, destiny called and I was committed. I felt like I’d known her all my life, we instantly connected and the familiarity intensified. Intuitively, I knew she was the one.
It was like I was attracted to her energy or his soul and not her body, which is a common feeling with soulmates. Our relationship lasted for a season & half, but she’s still ‘with me’ in my heart and soul every day. I think that’s how it is with soulmates: the connection never dies

4. Being around this person gives you a sense of peace and comfort, even very early in the relationship,as soon as our eyes met, I wasn’t anxious or nervous about meeting some stranger off the internet or whatsapp. It was like that song lyric, ‘It is well with my soul,’ something about her immediately felt familiar and I was instantly at peace just being with presence. I didn’t get the butterflies around this incredibly gorgeous lady who couldn’t take her eyes off me; instead, it was like my soul recognized her as My missing piece. When We met the first time, it really was like time stood still ― all I could hear was My heart pounding, all I could see was her. It was really an awesome experience.

Why Young Girls Are Easily Obsessed By Boys

Parents of my darling, precious, glorious, dignified, world-famous and heavenly celebrated Nigerian sisters,

I salute you all! In the last two weeks, I’ve been writing on our teenage girls and their obsession with boyfriends. Some permissive parents could say it’s no big deal for their daughters to date in their teens but I tell you it does more harm than good. I’ll forever emphasise the importance of the delicate teen years which is what eventually determines how one’s life would go- its fair success, average success, outstanding success or massive failure! No wonder former American First Lady-Mrs. Michelle Obama once said while speaking to teenage girls, “If I had worried about who liked me and who thought I was cute when I was your age, I wouldn’t be married to the president of the United States today.”

THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS MATTER and shouldn’t be handled with kid glove! As I mentioned last week, it is normal for every girl to have a crush or fall in love in her early teens if not sooner because the world has gone crazy. However, she must be compassionately assisted to nip her uncontrollable infatuation in the bud before it gets wild and becomes a way of life!

Too many beautiful destinies are being diverted daily by stupid, bad devil who just loves to confuse the children of God! Without having boyfriends in their teens, a lot of girls would be more knowledgeable, have better grades, better qualifications, better self-esteem, make use of their vivid imagination and create wonderful lives their parents could never boast of. They would easily realise glorious and lofty dreams and have uncommon achievements; in fact, we would have so many teenage amazons and environmental transformers! They’d be more in control of their emotions and spirituality and above all be well-equipped to handle life’s vicissitudes and a lot of challenges the female folk face. They would become very strong after spending all the time they should have spent on falling in and out of love and having their hearts torn apart and their souls painfully wounded by having boyfriends on self-development! They would become better builders of a saner society!

Your daughter could be obsessed with some guy or the other because of the following reasons:

Inadequate love and attention
Let the truth be told, before the society begins to get at your children, you are the major determinant of the path they eventually choose to follow! Sadly, so many parents in this age are not intentional about their parenting and raising of their offspring. While some are too carried away looking for daily bread and dealing with personal issues, some are wealthy enough to give their children what they never had as kids but don’t bother to pay attention to every detail of their children’s lives! Too many children are unfortunately left to domestic staff and unwholesome misinformation from their peers at school. A child’s impressionable years are so scary such that just one information or experience could set a child rolling on the wrong path of life. And once this happens, it only takes God to help that child and that’s why trying to change your children’s thoughts about life and their attitude towards issues of life in their teens is nothing but damage control!

Your girls need your 100 per cent love and attention if you truly love her and want her to turn out well! No one should love your children more than you do because you brought them into the world although there are so many parents who don’t love their kids. If you ask me-I don’t know which planet they come from! The world out there is extremely hostile and very tricky! So tricky that an average girl sees what she wants to see in the eyes of her parents (who should lift her up every time life hits her) in the eyes and arms of a complete stranger who more often than not endangers the poor girl and leads her on a most dangerous path!  A few days ago, a 13-year-old girl confessed how her teacher constantly slept with her and assisted her in aborting two pregnancies! She also mentioned how he showered her with so much love like no other person in the world yet she lives with her parents! May such not happen to our daughters...culled from by Mrs Okeowo
